A Thanksgiving of Gratitude

Give thanks to God no matter what circumstances you find yourself in. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

As some of us are getting ready to Celebrate Thanksgiving, this is the best time to start a Gratitude Journal.  Here are some prompts to help you get started:

  1. What’s one thing that makes you smile every day?
  2. What are you looking forward to in the next week? The next month?
  3. What is something you take for granted now, that wasn’t part of your life a year ago?
  4. Look around where you live. Write about everything you’re grateful for.
  5. What would you from five years ago think if they saw you now? What would they be excited to see in their future?
  6. Who are you always glad to hear from?
  7. What traditions (amongst family or friends) are you grateful for?
  8. Write a letter to friends or loved ones letting them know you’re grateful for them and why
  9. Make a list of things that have brought you comfort during the last few months
  10. Write a letter to your past self, letting them know that you are grateful for how they took care of you
  1. Write about something new you are happy to have learned recently
